ABOUT THE STUDY
The City of Lebanon, in partnership with the team of Rundell Ernstberger Associates (REA) and Pivot Marketing, is updating the City's 2007 Comprehensive Plan. The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is to outline a vision and strategic framework for future development, redevelopment, and community building projects within the City.
The Plan provides guidance to Lebanon's leadership and staff as they make decisions regarding the type, location, and intensity of development in the City. The plan cannot address every issue the City faces, but it will provide direction for physical infrastructure projects and public space improvements to support the overall vision for the community.
The Plan is being updated now because there have been significant changes in the City since 2007. The City has grown in terms of population, employment, and physical land area; new development and redevelopment have occurred; and other planning projects, such as the 2017 Downtown Action Plan and the 2015 Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan, have been completed and should be incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan update. This update will also ensure that the City remains competitive from a business retention and attraction standpoint while also maintaining the high quality of life for Lebanon’s residents.
We have crafted this process to provide opportunities for residents, businesses, and other civic and non-profit partners to communicate their vision for the City and identify what issues are most important to address now and in the future. We strongly desire community involvement and encourage citizen participation in this process. We know that the success of this planning effort will depend on engaging our community, so we have provided multiple ways for you to get involved. This website is just one of the many ways you can participate. Click on the link below to email us your feedback.
On behalf of the City and consultant team, we would like to thank everyone that took time to respond to the online survey. We received over 500 responses to some of the questions! Please see the following link if you are interested in the results. Thanks again for such wonderful participation.
As documents are prepared as part of the Comprehensive Plan, they will be posted here for the public to review and provide comment. Click on a link below to download the PDF file.
